About the BCCAA
Coinciding with the City Council adoption by ordinance of the new name of Baltimore City College for the municipality’s first public high school, The Baltimore City College Alumni Association was founded in 1866 to perpetuate the alma mater as a college preparatory high school. The association also offers advice to the principal on various matters. The Baltimore City College Alumni Association (BCCAA) is one of the oldest alumni associations in the nation. In November of each year, the annual meeting is held in the school. The Board of Governors of the BCCAA meets at 5:15 p.m. on the first Monday of each month in room 153 of the school.
The Board of Governors is the ruling body of the BCCAA. This group consists of the President, President Elect, Immediate Past President, Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and twelve Governors who serve three year staggered terms.
