Dr. Daniels began her teaching career in the Baltimore City Public School System in 1992. She earned her PhD in 2004 and began her tenure at Towson University in 2006, where she has served as Director of Early Childhood Graduate Programs since 2013. Dr. Daniels is excited about her new position and looks forward to continuing her service to the department, college, university, and the Baltimore Metropolitan community. Congratulations Dr. Daniels!! ![]() It is with heavy hearts that we inform the BCC Community of the passing of “Mr. Baltimore City College Alumni Association” – Leo Sirota BCC of 1947 and Hall of Fame member. Mr. Sirota passed on Sunday, December 11, 2016. He was “the heart and soul” of the BCCAA and literally bled “Black and Orange” so much so that the BCCAA Alumni of the Year award is named in his honor. Mr. Sirota’s legacy is interwoven in the threads of the BCCAA, Inc as we have adopted his mantra “Lead, follow or get out of the way!” in all that we do. He will be deeply missed. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 10:00 am at Sol Levison & Bros. Inc. 8900 Reisterstown Road at Mount Wilson Lane. ![]() The BCCAA Inc. would like to extend our congratulations to Mr. John Schuerholz BCC ’58 for his election into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame!! “I always had aspirations of being a successful general manager, to build winning teams, and we were able to do that and do it for a while consistently,” Schuerholz said. “But this honor almost — it puts me in a position where I seldom am, and that is to be without words to describe what this means to me. … [Being told of the selection], those words will ring in my ears and in my brain for the rest of my life. In October 2014, at the BCC 175th Anniversary Gala, Mr. J.D Merrill BCC ’09, announced a need to renovate the library at our dear institution and in December 2014 launched a $2 million fund raising effort to build a new library. The project broke ground in January 2015 and the renovation was underway. Fast forward to September 2016, the new library is COMPLETE and will be open to students, faculty and staff at the start of the 2016-2017 school year. ![]() Hey Knights!!
