R. Wayne Brown '70
PERMANENT STATUS EMERITUS
R. Wayne Brown, a labor arbitrator, returned in April 1997 to Baltimore City College Alumni Association. He is currently serving in the not-for-profit industry.
Mr. Brown attended City University of New York, and is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, with a Master of Science Degree, and the University of Maryland, College Park, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
Prior to joining the Baltimore City College Alumni Association, Mr. Brown was consultant with the Baltimore City Public Schools, and Administrative Assistant with Constellation Energy Source, American Arbitration Association and Manpower Office Temporaries, Incorporated, in various administrative and office positions relating principally to business. During his career with American Arbitration Association, Mr. Brown had served as Public Relations Assistant, "Arbitration Day," and Registration/Greeter, World Arbitration Congress. At the same time, he had worked as Administrative Assistant, Arbitration Section, National Bar Association, International Chamber of Commerce--Court of Arbitration, 60th Anniversary, Paris, France, and had translated French/English documents for Arbitration Section, National Bar Association, Dakar, Senegal. Also has interpreted both languages at the New York City Marathon.
Memberships include the Baltimore City College Alumni Association Board of Governors, Johns Hopkins University Alumni Association, University of Maryland Alumni Association and Industrial Relations Research Association, Baltimore Chapter. Further, lists involve International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Administration Fraternity.
