Leo Sirota '47
PERMANENT STATUS EMERITUS
Born in NY city, Leo Sirota moved to Baltimore in 1936. He attended elementary school # 98 (south Pulaski Street), junior high school # 91 (Gwynns Falls Jr. High) on Hilton Street).
Mr. Sirota attended BCC from 1944 to 1947. At BCC, he was a member of the Honor Society, Current Events Club, Bancroft Literary Assn., and the Rifle Team. He graduated in June of 1947.
Leo Sirota attended the University of Md School of Pharmacy. After graduating in 1951 with a BS in Pharmacy, he worked in retail pharmacy until 2007.
He became active in the "Save City College" campaign & was a member of the small group that put the BCC Alumni Association back together when school reopened. He was the treasurer of Alumni Association, edited the BCCAA newsletter and treasurer of the Trustees of the BCC Scholarship Funds, Inc. for many years.
At present, he monitors the BCC Alumni "answer line" and tries to answer various queries about BCC and the BCCAA.
